In the case of losing all your keys, the vehicle computer is reprogrammed to accept a new key and reject the old one. This provide a security measurement assuring the disabling of the old/lost/stolen key.
Reprogramming interface and tools are available only to the Acura dealer or to a licensed locksmith. This means that the car towed to the dealer or a mobile locksmith will have to come out to the site of where the car is at.
Exception: Acura RL 1996-2004 and the Acura NSX 1997-2005 With these models, the immobiliser module need to be re-flashed. This is a service unique to only few specific locksmiths.
