How to Replace Toyota Camry Remote Battery? - Okey DoKey Locksmith
This guide was especially constructed to assist owners of the Toyota Corolla 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 who need to substitute the battery in the key fob or remote control.
By reading this page, owners of other Toyota models as the Matrix, Prius, Yaris, Venza, Highlander, RAV4, Tundra, Sienna, FJ Cruiser, Sequoia, Tacoma, 4Runner or Avalon equipped with similar keyless entry, keyfob remote or switch blade key systems may also find this article to be effective.
The only tool needed to complete this battery change is a little flathead screwdriver. A little butter knife or coin could also work if you dont have a screwdriver accessible.
A replacement CR2032 3V battery can be purchased on Amazon for just a few dollars, but if you need it as early as possible, you can find it at a collection of stores such as Wal-Mart, Radio Shack and CVS.
To pop open a Toyota remote, find the small recessed slot at the top above the "Lock" button, insert the little screwdriver into the recessed slot and twist the screwdriver to separate the top and bottom halves.
The battery is based on the green motherboard. To remove the battery, softly poke it out with the little flathead screwdriver.
Insert a new CR2032 battery with the plus side facing up.
Turn over the remote unit, put the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons sitting on top and cover them with the other part of the remote.
Turn the top part over again and put the bottom part of the remote sitting on top with the red Alarm button facing up.
Then couple the two halves and re-connect the key ring.
