How to Replace Toyota Camry Remote Battery? - Okey DoKey Locksmith

Toyota Camry remoteThis guide was especially constructed to assist owners of the Toyota Corolla 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 & 2008 who want to change the battery in the key fob or remote control.

The only thing you need to replace the battery is a small flathead screwdriver. A small butter knife or coin could also work if you don't have a screwdriver handy.



A replacement CR2032 3V battery can be procured on Amazon for just a few dollars, but if you need it shortly, you can find it at a diversity of stores as Radio Shack, Wal-Mart and CVS.



Toyota Camry remote openTo open a Toyota remote, locate the little recessed slot at the top above the "Lock" toggle, insert the small screwdriver into the recessed slot and turn it to separate the two halves.



Toyota Camry remote removeThe battery is placed on the green motherboard. To remove the battery, gently pry it out with the small flathead screwdriver.



Toyota Camry release buttonSlide a new CR2032 battery with the plus side facing to the top.



Toyota Camry remote buttonsTurn over the remote unit, position the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons laying on top and cover them with the other part of the remote.



Toyota Camry remote motherboardTurn the top part over again and position the bottom part of the remote laying on top with the red Panic toggle facing to the top.
