On January 20 2019, few days after we established our branch in Austin Texas, we got approved by Google Guarantee the leading local services to offer our outstanding locksmith services in the city. While we where testing the new service provider application, we turned on the advertisement for a few hours and our card was showing up 2nd on the guarantee list of result, but didn't do any job. After around 3-4 hours we got emails from Google notifying us about 3 new bad 1 star reviews from customers on our GMB.
While we have no problem with legitimate negative reviews, fraudulent reviews are another matter. Since Okey DoKey Locksmith mission is to bring a positive change to the industry of locksmithing in Texas, we take customers complains very seriously and do way and beyond to turn a complain into a return happy customer, so we create this page to help potential and current customer to follow the episode.

Our customer care personal was able to spot the fraudulent profile from the first minute (especially since we haven't provide any service yet in Austin) and report to the management about the three reviews. At first, we didn't know if or hire an investigation company to solve the problem with Google
On Jan 18 2019, the day we got confirmed for a Google Guarantee account in Austin, we got this ridiculous most likely a competitor spam review on our Google My Business page.
After a fast investigation it was clear to our agents that the Curley Herrison profile is a spammy account that was opened by an Austinite the same day with 3 fake reviews. In the screen shot above you can see the profile page with three reviews on the same time in two different cities and no other image, activity or history.
Mr Herrison write that the The Cheesecake Factory have "Great food, friendly staff, but they always take a while to check up on refills"
Mr Herrison write about Target "I freaking LO V E Target. Especially this location, everyone I have ever interacted with has been so nice, and informative."
In the third review, Mr Herrison decided to bash about Okey DoKey Locksmith as if he is a customer and write the following: "Based on other reviews I’m sure they do some services well, but if you are locked out of your house this is not who you want to call. Complete disaster. Online and on the call they suggested $20 for the trip and approximately $35 for the work and was told they’d be there in 35 minutes. Something came up and they were 30 minutes late. When he did get there the charges jumped to $350 for no apparent reason. Then the guy couldn’t actually get any of the three different doors unlocked because he seemed to have no idea what he was doing. After 20 minutes of getting nowhere with a drill tool, he said he could take out the locks completely (damage) which I had no interest in. Called another company who came out and actually used a lock pick set with some WD40 and had it open in 30 seconds. I had a bunch of family in town and didn’t need the extra hour wasted with them stuck outside in Austin in the rain don't use this company con artists BEWARE austin!!!"
A report was sent to Google My Business to remote the fake review and profile and we are waiting for a response.
This review was most likely posted by an Austin competitor locksmith company who cannot handle a competition from a company who provide a better customer service. Choose Okey DoKey and let us prove to you too, like thousands of other happy customers that we are the best return of value for your money for any lock and key situation.

On the second day of advertising with Google Guarantee we got 4 more reviews from ridiculously fraudulent spam profiles and we understand that there is a very frustrated competitor in town that is very jealous of our leading customer service and success who is trying pathetically to harm our reputation and ranking.
After getting the second bulk of 4 1 star review we decided to hire an experienced private investigators and contact Trustify online investigation company to help us expose the impersonators and contact the police and file a criminal report for holding a monopoly and engaging in anti-competitive practices.
According to Trustify personal, Section 5(a) of the Federal Trade Communication Act states that “Unfair methods of competition in or affecting commerce, and unfair or deceptive acts or practices in or affecting commerce, are hereby declared unlawful.” and this statement allowed the a successful sue of Sage Automotive Group for $3.6 million dollars by the FTC for deceptive online reviews and deceptive advertising practices.
As a licensed investigation company, Trustify have access to professional databases hiring former cops or FBI agents experienced in investigating everything from catfishing to online frauds and can pull local and state records in order to conduct a deep web research, Trustify looks like the most qualified company to expose the impostors.
Few more spam reviews on the following days in the rate of 1-3 new profiles created with the same patterns of reviewing Walmat and Nurger King and then writing a 1 star review to Okey DoKey Locksmith and the list of profiles was transfered to Trustify for investigation.
